Merry Christmas Snowman
The background paper is green not black as it seems to want to show up in the photo. I ran it through the Cuttlebug in the folder Snowflakes by Bringing Crafts-Too. The lamp post is crooked but I didn't notice it until it had dried and I couldn't remove it so I just left it. The lamp post is called Colonial Lamp Post by Cheery Lynn Designs. The oval is Floral Ovals by Spellbinders. The snowflakes were made with a Martha Stewart punch with blue gems in the middles. The Merry Christmas is from the set Holidays and Wishes. The snowman is from the set Holiday Tag Team both by Stampin Up. I added just a touch of liquid pearls here and there. Thanks for stopping by. Sharon.

Merry Christmas
I decided to make a second card for Joan's Garden Challenge #38. The rules are *Create a card showing your favorite winter pastime (i.e. making a snowman, going for a sleigh ride, going skiing, ect.) *Use black embossing. *Use a frame.*Create something that is dimensional. Okay it doesn't actually show building a snow man but I do like watching cardinals in the winter so decided to go with this stamp from Heartfelt Creations called Snowmen Melt Your Heart. I have to admit that snowmen stamps will get me just about every time.lol. I made my frame with two Spellbinder dies the Labels Sixteen and Labels Fifteen and while I was cutting out the snowman, I had just tossed the frame down and decided that I liked it that way so left it. I got my order today from Joan's, the Wreath Strip Border Die from Cheery Lynn. I cut it out of varigated paper so that it would look like snow but the effect is really lost in this picture. I added red liquid pearls in the center of the leaf strip dies. Black embossed the Merry Christmas. Thanks for stopping by. Sharon

Ornament Card
I read on a blog this morning about how to do this background and had to try it at least once. You crumble your paper up and then spread it out and swipe Distress Ink Pads over the ridges and then spritz with water. All was going really well until I decided that I would add some glimmer mist. It really blurred everything but decided to go ahead an use it anyways. I used the Stampin Up Ornament Punch, and Stampin Up twine. Christmas Tree
This stamp is from the set Holiday Happiness from Stampin Up. I admit I didn't like this stamp until I saw a card that Missi made with it and had to get but I haven't made the card that she made and don't even remember what it looks like. For me this is simple and about as simple as I get. Missi makes the most adorable clean and simple cards and I can never match her's and have seen very few other's that can match her's. I added a brad star at the top and bent my paper just a little, trying to get my brad tight enough. I added red Candi for ornaments. Added green glitter pen to the stamped green of the tree. The ovals are Classic Ovals from Spellbinder's. The background paper is some that I got from Gina K. Designs when it was on sale. Thanks for stopping by. Sharon
